In 10 years of doing this pool, this is the first time I have actually heard this:

Subject: Re: March Melee Update

 Hello Kevin,

I would like to apologize up front on not paying.  When I signed up for the tournament I was unaware of the entry fee.  I played a game last year or the year before called Melee and thought that this was the same tournament.  That was free last year.  My apologies again, and I would like to formally withdraw my entry.  I hope this isn't too much of an inconvenience.  Thanks again and good luck.

 Sincerely,

Michael Markham
